Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your personal Summerwinter Adventures guide will greet you with a warm smile and say, “Karibu Tanzania!” You’ll be escorted directly to your accommodation where you can relax and soak in the African atmosphere. The following day, your guide will take you on an exclusive, private safari with your own jeep, allowing you to explore the wildlife at your own pace. Enjoy the freedom to stop and admire the animals for as long as you wish!
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
Today, you’ll visit Tarangire National Park, famous for its large herds of elephants and striking baobab trees. These ancient trees, some of which are hundreds of years old, provide a unique source of water for the elephants during the dry season. The Tarangire River is a lifeline during this period, and you’ll witness large herds of up to 250 elephants, alongside a variety of other animals such as zebras, giraffes, and lions.
Day 3-4: Serengeti National Park – Central, West, and East
Spend the next two days in the vast plains of Serengeti National Park, one of the most renowned safari destinations in the world. The park is famous for the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles make their way across the plains. You will also encounter a wealth of predators, including over 4,000 lions, 225 cheetahs, 1,000 leopards, and many others. Your guide will lead you to the best spots for viewing these magnificent creatures and more.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Today, you’ll explore the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s natural wonders. The crater was formed millions of years ago after a massive volcano erupted, creating a fertile environment teeming with wildlife. The crater is home to a dense population of animals, including lions, zebras, buffalos, and black rhinos. The views are breathtaking, and it’s a fantastic opportunity to witness wildlife up close in a dramatic setting.
Day 6: Relaxing Day at Manyara Best View Lodge
Enjoy a relaxing day at Manyara Best View Lodge, located near Lake Manyara National Park. This is the perfect place to unwind between safari adventures. Spend the day at the lodge’s infinity pool, enjoying spectacular views of the lake and surrounding landscape. If you prefer something more active, you can explore the area with mountain biking, a hike along the Great Rift Valley wall, or a night game drive. Alternatively, visit a local market to experience the area’s vibrant culture.
Day 7: Flight to Zanzibar
Fly to the enchanting Zanzibar, known as the Spice Island. Upon arrival, your guide will greet you and transfer you to your accommodation. Zanzibar offers pristine white sand beaches, crystal-clear waters, and vibrant coral reefs. Spend your days relaxing on the beach, exploring the rich history of Stone Town, or visiting spice plantations to experience the island’s unique flavors and aromas.
Day 8-11: Zanzibar Exploration
Enjoy four days in Zanzibar, a tropical paradise surrounded by the Indian Ocean’s turquoise waters and palm-fringed beaches. Relax, sip a fresh coconut drink, or swim in the crystal-clear waters. For more adventure, try activities such as the Safari Blue cruise, which offers boat trips to surrounding islands, or take a guided tour of Stone Town to discover the island’s history. Don’t miss the chance to explore Zanzibar’s cuisine and cultural heritage.
Day 12: Departure from Zanzibar
On your last day in Zanzibar, you’ll have some free time to relax or continue exploring the island. Depending on your flight time, enjoy the beach or shop for souvenirs before your driver takes you to Zanzibar International Airport for your return journey home.
