This 8 Days Tanzania Safari & Zanzibar Beach Holiday is structured to provide a balanced experience across northern Tanzania’s key wildlife regions followed by time on the Indian Ocean coast. The itinerary allows sufficient time for game drives within each park, minimizes unnecessary travel, and transitions gradually from safari environments to coastal relaxation.

DETAILED DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Meet the safari guide and transfer to a hotel in Arusha. Safari briefing and rest after travel.
Overnight: Arusha hotel
Meals: Dinner
Day 2: Arusha → Tarangire National Park
Morning departure to Tarangire National Park. Game drive through riverine areas and open savannah dominated by baobab trees. Wildlife regularly encountered includes elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and predators following herbivore movement.
Picnic lunch inside the park.
Overnight: Lodge or tented camp near Tarangire

Day 3: Tarangire → Serengeti National Park
Drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands with landscape transitions from farmland to open plains. Entry into Serengeti National Park via Naabi Hill Gate. Afternoon game drive across central Serengeti, focusing on resident wildlife.
Overnight: Serengeti lodge or tented camp

Day 4: Full-Day Serengeti Game Drives
Early morning game drive during peak predator activity. Exploration of kopjes, seasonal rivers, and open grasslands. Picnic lunch in the park followed by an afternoon game drive extending until sunset.

Day 5: Serengeti → Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Morning game drive en route out of Serengeti. Transfer to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arrival at lodge near the crater rim with views into the caldera.
Overnight: Ngorongoro area lodge
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater → Arusha
Descent into Ngorongoro Crater for an extensive game drive on the crater floor. The enclosed ecosystem supports a high density of wildlife including lions, elephants, buffalo, and black rhino. Picnic lunch near the hippo pools. Afternoon return to Arusha.

Day 7: Arusha → Zanzibar
Morning transfer to the airport for a domestic flight to Zanzibar. Arrival and transfer to a beach resort on the northern coast (Nungwi or Kendwa). Afternoon at leisure.

Day 8: Zanzibar Beach & Departure
Free morning at the beach. Time for swimming or relaxation before transfer to Zanzibar International Airport for onward travel.
