December marks the start of the Great Migration’s calving season in the southern Serengeti and Ndutu area. Over 500,000 wildebeest calves are born within weeks, attracting predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. This comfort semi-luxury safari blends quality lodges/tented camps, excellent guiding, and prime wildlife viewing in Tanzania’s top parks.

It's time to begin your safari. Welcome to Tanzania! After we greet you and provide you with the trip briefing, we'll take you out to help you discover why so many people think Tanzania is the best place in Africa to go on safari. Many travelers rate Tarangire among their favorite national parks anywhere in Tanzania. Here in Tarangire, you can look for lions, leopards, and cheetahs. But you won’t have to look hard to see baboons, vervet monkeys, wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes and zebras. And you’ll come across elephants and baobabs everywhere, two giants of the African bush. Also an enjoyable part of your Tarangire experience will be the rolling savannah scenery, which includes rivers and low hills. And while it can get busy, crowds of cars will not be a problem here.
Off the road that takes you between Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro Crater, Farm of Dreams Lodge has excellent rooms with wood-and-terracotta decor, mosquito nets and en suite bathrooms. The rooms inhabit manicured grounds with palm trees, and you can relax in the swimming pool, restaurant and bar. The whole property is down a side road away from the main road, and is lovely and quiet.

When you explore Ndutu, you'll feel like you're getting all that the Serengeti has to offer, but there will be far fewer vehicles to block your view. This is one of northern Tanzania's best-kept secrets, easily accessible from both the Serengeti and Ngorongoro, and yet nicely off the main road between these more popular destinations. Ndutu is particularly good for wildlife when the great migration passes through, but there are plenty of animals to see here, framed against the vast horizon, at any time of the year. It's especially good for big cats, including tree-climbing lions. Ngorongoro Crater The day that awaits you in Ngorongoro Crater will be filled with wildlife and the sheer wonder of exploring an unusual world as picturesque as any safari park in Africa
There's so much for you to enjoy when you stay at Safari Haven Migration Camp, which puts you in the perfect position to enjoy this leg of your safar

Return to Ndutu to explore a little more.
Stay for longer at Safari Haven Migration Camp.

Spend another day exploring Ngorongoro Crater with more wildlife and spectacular views to enjoy
Come back to Farm of Dreams Lodge to relax and enjoy the facilities again.

Lake Manyara is one of the most underestimated national parks in Tanzania’s northern safari circuit. Everything you’ll see here is on a different scale, at once compact (this is one of the narrowest parks in Africa) and epic (the Rift Valley escarpment towers over Lake Manyara’s western boundary). You’ll see plenty of baboons and elephants in the park’s thick evergreen forest, and watch for the tree-climbing lions that have become famous throughout Africa. Thanks to the proximity of lake, forest and rock walls, the birdlife will also tease out your inner birder – don’t forget your binoculars. All good things must come to an end, and your time with us on safari in Tanzania will now draw to a close. We're sure that you've had a wonderful time
