The 1 Day Materuni Waterfalls & Coffee Tour is a guided cultural excursion located on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, near the town of Moshi. The experience combines light hiking, cultural interaction with the Chagga community, and a traditional coffee-making demonstration.
DETAILED ITINERARY
Morning: Moshi / Arusha → Materuni Village
Morning pickup from Moshi or Arusha. Drive to Materuni Village followed by a guided village walk introducing local customs and daily life.
Midday: Materuni Waterfall Hike
Guided hike through farmland and forest to Materuni Waterfall. Time at the waterfall for photography and swimming (conditions permitting). Picnic lunch near the site.
Afternoon: Coffee Experience
Return to the village for a traditional Chagga coffee-making experience, including roasting, grinding, and brewing. Cultural songs and interaction with villagers.
Late Afternoon: Return
Transfer back to Moshi or Arusha.
