4 DAYS MOUNT MERU CLIMB – VERY DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Arusha → Momella Gate → Miriakamba Hut

After registration at Momella Gate, begin a guided walking safari with an armed ranger. Expect wildlife such as giraffes, buffalo, warthogs, and colobus monkeys. Gradual ascent through forest to Miriakamba Hut.
Purpose: Safe altitude gain + wildlife experience
Day 2: Miriakamba Hut → Saddle Hut

Steeper ascent with panoramic views of Ngurdoto Crater and Momella Lakes. Afternoon acclimatization hike to Little Meru (3,820 m).

Day 3: Saddle Hut → Socialist Peak → Miriakamba Hut

Midnight summit start. Steep ridge climb to Socialist Peak for sunrise views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Ash Cone, and the Rift Valley. Descend carefully back to Miriakamba Hut.

Day 4: Miriakamba Hut → Momella Gate → Arusha
